November 2-5, 2023Cherrywood Fabrics Monarch Challenge Nari Haig’s Monarch quilt, “Four Days Till Mexico,” was accepted into the Cherrywood Fabrics Monarch Challenge which will premiere at the International Quilt Show in Houston in November. Congratulations Nari!
She had a vision of butterflies on their migration to Mexico and their stopping at a cafe/diner to refuel. The quilt is raw edge applique, with some embroidery and free motion quilting. Nari is in the groupof quilts that will be shown at the Sisters Quilt Show and the Quilt Expo in Madison, among other stops in the next year. Nari is looking forward to doing the new challenge called Poppies, as it has direct ties to her family in Scotland.		International Quilt Show Houston
